Programmable Mouse

Logitech has come up with yet another programmable gaming mouse – the G500. Its 27 grams of additional weight gives you the clasp that you want to feel in your hand. Other features include an onboard memory, a dual mode scroll wheel and an on-the-fly adjustable DPI. It also boasts of 10 programmable buttons.

The Main Features of Logitech Gaming Mouse G500

Game-changing accuracy. Giving you precision at every hand speed is the gaming-grade laser. It is a good option for FPS and MMORPG gamers.

Onboard memory. With no additional software needed, this feature lets you save and take your settings for your preferred label.

Weight tuning. The 27 grams additional weight extends a more distinctive control and feel. You can have it heavy or light.

Super-quick scrolling with the Dual-mode scroll wheel. Providing you with an accurate click-to-click scrolling is the dual-mode scroll wheel. You can impress your boss by toggling to a less resistance super quick scroll to go through web pages.

An on-the-fly adjustable DPI gives you the exact height of accuracy for any type of games (reaching up to 5700 dpi).

Puts macros in your hand through its programmable buttons. By downloading Logitech SetPoint software, you get macros right into your hand with the 10 programmable buttons.

To my assessment, I consider the Logitech G500 Programmable Gaming Mouse as the best mouse ever. I used to have the G5 and the G9. But it was the G5 that I always use as I do not like the grip of G9.

Between the G500 and the G5, the former has a ridge on its upper-right that gives more comfort when the right mouse button is held by your middle finger. (We normally use the ring finger here.) The G500 offers you a better palm grasp than the G5 as the palm rest is broader and lifted. With the use of the index finger, you can make changes easily because of the sensitivity switches that were located on the upper left side. With the G500, you get to have the mouse wheel toggle, which is a free spin/click, situated on the top instead of underneath the mouse (this is the set up with G9). The thing which I wanted most with G500 is that I can run it in free mode even when browsing and the click mode when gaming.

Technically, the Logitech G500 Programmable Gaming Mouse performs outstandingly than the G5. Allowing more control over the mouse is the Setpoint software which is different from that of G5s.

Medium to small sizes of hands are not a problem as it fits well like when wearing a glove. Making you at ease is the shape and the base-weight. The right and left buttons can be clicked as far back with just a small click-pressure change felt.

The 10 programmable buttons allows you to do click-casting in World of Warcraft game. Perfect is the left and right scroll click which I find easier to use the same as other mice are.

The three buttons on its left side allows you to do scrolling super-fast scrolling which is really excellent.

Any G5 mouse owner will definitely love the Logitech G500 Programmable Gaming Mouse.
