Logitech Optical USB Mouse

I was happy when I bought a notebook for myself. The problem started when the buttons started to crap out. So I went to look around for a mouse but was completely engulfed with the various mice which made deciding what to buy quite hard.

A friend suggested that I should try the wireless mouse and so I did. It was nice alright but I prefer the corded ones. I had trouble with the buttons as I keep on striking them by chance so they normally become immobilized. The look cheap to me. It makes you think that the scroll wheel will disentangle.

With the above situations, I landed on buying the Logitech Optical USB Mouse, which is the 6th mouse I have bought since my mouse broke down.

The Logitech Optical USB Mouse is not at all that appealing but it is not that horrible. It fits well into my medium-sized hand. The plastic around its base is of fine quality and holding it is effortless. Clicking the buttons is cool as they are quiet and easy to touch. The Optical USB Mouse is unyielding so there is no fear that it will be broken like the low-priced mouse. Scrolling is straightforward with the scroll wheel made of a hard black rubber. This feature makes it effortless to let it roll. Another feature is its tilted wheel. The Logitech Optical USB Mouse really gives a splendid performance.

It is compatible t even if you do not have the Logitech software. However, you have the option of downloading the software should you want to use the features of the USB Mouse. A slow connection will give you problems especially if your file is big. When that happened to me, I have to redo it and finished it in a public library for only a few minutes. If your system is Windows XP and you want to make use of the tilt-wheel feature and the middle button, you need to let the software run in the background. You can stop using it if you want and you still have the other two buttons and the scroll wheel. Do not download the software if you do not intend to use the tilt-wheel and the middle button. On my part, I downloaded the software because the moment I change to using a USB mouse, the settings of my Windows Mouse started to act weird. They don’t stay where I position them even if the ‘Apply’ box was ticked. Restarting will only make the settings to return to Default. But when I downloaded the Logitech software, I never encountered any problem.

The Logitech Optical USB Mouse is not too costly and is easy to manipulate when moving the pointer around.

A bit of advice: Do not follow the mouse set up instructions based on the computer’s instructions if a password is used on signing in to Windows. This is because the computer will not be able to identify your mouse when ask to key in your password.

Let your system run and remove your existing mouse from the USB dock and connect the new Logitech mouse. Only if you do this will the new mouse be identified.

To conclude, the Logitech Optical USB Mouse works and the system software that identifies the mouse when connected also work well. It served the purpose you need it for and most of all, it is not expensive.
